MEETING OF THE PROJECT WORK GROUP FOR PARTICIPATORY PROCESS – TIVAT

On 11 June 2013 at the premises of Municipality of Tivat meeting of the project work group regarding the legislative framework was held. The goal was to define concept of comparative analysis with recommendations, individually for legislations and participants in Montenegro and Croatia as well as parallel for these two countries. Target group refers to actors involved in the processes of protection and valorization of natural and cultural heritage and landscape while the goal contributes to their quality cooperation on the national level throughout clearly defined action framework.

First meeting of the project work group that dealt with the legislation contributed to defining the framework for creation of the study on this subject. Natural and cultural heritage as well as landscape will be analyzed through valid legislative frameworks on the interstate, state and local level. Indicating concrete examples, the experts from Croatia and Montenegro, representatives of the partner organizations and associates of the project recognized numerous deficiencies when it comes to treatment of the heritage in these two countries. Generally it was concluded that the bigger issues do not represent quality and coordination of the regulations but the possibility of their consistent application.
