Wrap up event

b_130_95_16777215_00_images_stories_priroda_za_buducnost.jpgWrap up event of the project "Nature for the Future" was held in PR Centre in Podgorica, on 11 January 2013. The two-year project, "Nature for the Future" was financed from 408,939.94 euros from the European Union and implemented by the Regional Development Agency of Dubrovnik-Neretva County and National parks of Montenegro. For NPCG allocated some € 150,000 EU grant, said Director JPNPCG, Zoran Mrdak the final conference which concluded on this project. Also, he mentioned that the "implementation-defined project activities, joint planning and cooperation, increased knowledge, enhanced infrastructure and technical capacity and quality created a basis for further improvement of the quality of the product tursitičkog Skadar Lake and Lovćen".

The conference speakers included the Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Branislav Gvozdenovic, Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Ambassador Mitja Drobnic, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Snezana Radovic, and the Regional Development Agency of Dubrovnik-Neretva County - Dune Melanie Milic.

Minister Branimir Gvozdenovic informed that begins next month screening for Chapter 27, which concerns the safeguarding of the environment and at the same time stressed that "protected areas and sustainable development remains a priority among the projects of the Ministry, and the valorization of Lipski and Ćalovića cave for the best example" .

Drobnič ambassador said that future projects should focus like this IPA project on the environment and, above all, cross-border connections.
- Recognizable tourist, protected resources, and joint tourism offer are the most important results of this project. More such projects zažtite nature and tourism development in the region lead to a successful connection - concluded Drobnič.

After the final conference a round table discussion on "The Importance of caves in the National Parks of Montenegro, their protection and tourist valorization." Veselin Luburic, Head of the Department for the promotion and development of PE, on this occasion, among other things, pointed out that one of the IPA focus of this project was the study of caves that gravitate Skadar Lake, and is the final conference a round table dedicated to the protection and valorisation of caves in the area of national parks. We expect that future and more comprehensive research, and evaluation of individual and caves continue through the new projects supported by EU funds.

First partner meeting

1297164019dunea_medijiOn 2nd February 2011 the first meeting of Project team for implementation of Project in the frame of cross-border  cooperation Croatia-Montenegro "Nature for the future", was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The representatives of this meeting were from the Public enterprise for national parks of Montenegro Dragan Dragicevic, Veselin Luburic, Irena Sekulic-Djukic, Marina Djurovic and Marijana Vujovic; representatives from Regional Development Agency Helena Kangjera and Zvonko Culjat, and representatives from Public institution for protection cultural monuments Matea Spika, Nikolina Djangradovic and Erna Raguz-Lucic.

Before the meeting, the press conference was held in the public in the frame of starting implementation of the Project. The persons who greeted the public were: Helena Kangjera on behalf of RDA and Veselin Luburic on behalf of PE for NP MNE.
